Our first Local Council supply project, saw French Oak Australasia supply Recycled Red Ironbark, Spotted Gum and Blackbutt decking and cladding material for a local public seating and screening space.
We cut and then air dried the timbers, while the project was undertaken by the contractor. We then sanded and pencil-rounded the edge of every length of decking board, resulting in a soft edge, devoid of splinters, even when aged.
This allowed further aging and tannin leaching of the Hardwood, before we then freighted the materials to site, and it was installed.
This photography has been taken two years after installation, and the timber has taken a beautiful, soft, silvery-grey colour tone.
